Point of view

To understand something, it is often very important to choose the right point of view. Examples: When trying to understand why someone else feels strongly about something, it is useful to try to imagine and understand their point of view. When trying to understand how one really feels about something outside oneself, it is most useful to consider one's own point of view. When trying to understand systems and organizations it is useful to take a third-person point of view outside of what you are trying to understand.

How can we be aware of various points of view, and choose our own best point of view depending on the situation we want to understand?
