What is the Singularity Institute? The Singularity Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit devoted solely to creating the Singularity. We help provide forums for discussion of the Singularity, coordinate Singularity-related efforts, and publish introductory material and research papers on the Singularity.Above all, our long-term mission is direct research into Singularity technologies and the direct implementation of the Singularity.We are currently looking for funding to begin the very-long-term project to create recursively self-improving Artificial Intelligence which displays true general intelligence - a Singularity seed.
