Intertwingularity

Intertwingularity is not generally acknowledged - people keep pretending they can make things deeply hierarchical, categorizable and sequential when they can't. Everything is deeply intertwingled.

Rosen used the metaphor of protein folding

In Life Itself, page xv, Robert Rosen made a similar point using the metaphor of protein folding to describe the way a linear text must fold back on itself in many places to bring related concepts together. Of course this is exactly the same as I am trying to do (incompletely) with my web site using categories and links. I anticipate being able to link in a more dynamic way using functional relationships between nodes. Just need to find time to code it!
